My Services

As an Environment & Culture Strategist , I engage a decolonial anthropolgoical lens to assess, analyze and address the way individuals and organizations operate, pursue programming and achieve results.

By appraising your environment—the ecosystem of people, processes, programs and products with which you engage—I understand the context of how you do you.

An ethnography of your culture— represented by the set of beliefs, habits and practices you employ towards achieving goals—allows me to get at the root of any particular dysfunction you might be experiencing.

Coaching

Through my proprietary Radical 360• ™ framework, I work with you to improve your self-concept, self-efficacy and self-advocacy no matter your personal or professional pursuit. Utilizing a series of prompts and exercises, we create a vehicle for you to achieve success (however you define it) that is grounded in an understanding of yourself and your capacities.

Landscape Analysis

Whether you are looking to initiate a new project, scale an existing program or revamp an old offering, I’ll work with you to determine the state of the field in which you hope to make your shift. I conduct critical research around political climate, competition, potential partnerships and organizational capacity to inform your pivot.

Environment & Culture Audit

Every organization needs a well-balanced ecosystem of practices, processes, and beliefs to function well. Through a four-prong approach that includes listening sessions, probing sessions, intersectional analysis and strategic recommendations, I work with you to clarify the fault lines in your practice and determine effective solutions to rectify them.

Testimonials

"My consultation with Dr. Jessica Samuel was a transformative experience. Her insightful guidance not only provided crucial perspectives on my dissertation research but also served as a source of inspiration and empowerment. Dr. Samuel brought a unique blend of academic expertise and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by black women in academia, creating a space where my voice and research were truly valued. I highly recommend her services to fellow scholars seeking not only academic support but also an ally who understands the nuances of our shared journey in higher education.”

Essah Diaz

“Our organization was in the process of actualizing a roadmap from McKinsey & Company into a continued exploration for sustained growth. Dr. Samuel's questions furthered our work extensively. She aided us in thinking about the long-term plans of our organization and the objectives for our exploration process. Her joint emphasis on racial justice and DEIB encouraged us to distinguish between our Institute’s goals and those of Phillips Academy. Dr. Samuel’s work was fundamental to our exploration. Her ability to understand our program and its emphasis on equity and racial justice allowed us to strategically communicate with our stakeholders. We, at the IRT, love working with Dr. Samuel and highly recommend her set of skills and expertise for other equity-focused projects.”
